Rust Protection & Undercoating β€” Now Serving the Greater DFW Area

Stop Rust Before
It Spreads.

Rust doesn't wait. North Texas roads get brine and de-icer every winter storm, and vehicles bought from the salt belt arrive already corroding underneath. We deep-clean the underbody with dry ice, neutralize the rust that's there, and seal it under a fresh layer of wax undercoating so your vehicle stays road-ready for years. Preserve your investment from the ground up.

Why This Matters in North Texas

Rust Doesn't Stop
At The State Line

TxDOT pre-treats DFW highways with brine and de-icer every winter storm β€” and the truck you bought in Ohio, Michigan or Pennsylvania spent years in worse. Between winter treatments, spring humidity and cross-country miles, the rust that started up north keeps working underneath.

πŸ§‚
Rust Prevention That Holds

Road salt and brine pack into frame seams, pinch welds, spring perches and inside boxed rails, and keep pulling moisture out of the air long after the vehicle leaves the rust belt. DFW's winter brine and spring humidity finish the job. We shield the underbody from moisture and salt β€” the two things that feed rust.

🧽
Coating Over Dirt Fails

Undercoating sprayed over grease, scale and loose rust peels within a year and traps moisture underneath. The surface has to be clean, dry metal first β€” that's the part most shops skip, and the part we do with dry ice.

πŸ’§
No Water Introduced

Pressure washing before coating drives water into the very seams you're trying to seal. Dry ice sublimates on contact β€” the metal is clean and dry the moment we're done, and nothing is sealed in.

πŸ”‡
A Quieter Ride

Wax undercoating dampens road noise and vibration coming up through the floor pans and wheel wells. Owners notice it on the first drive β€” especially in trucks and older vehicles.

✨
Factory Satin Finish

The underside comes back with a clean, even OEM-style satin finish. Before it's coated you see exactly what condition the frame, floors and suspension are in β€” so you know what you actually bought.

πŸ“ˆ
Prolonged Life, Higher Resale

A clean, treated, properly coated undercarriage is the first thing a DFW buyer or inspector looks at on an out-of-state vehicle. Protecting the structure now is far cheaper than repairing it later β€” and it shows at sale time.

The Process

Clean. Treat. Protect.

Three steps, one visit. Each one only works because the step before it was done right.

01
Deep Clean With Dry Ice

We blast the entire underbody β€” frame, floors, suspension, wheel wells, inside the rails β€” removing road grime, grease, old failed undercoating and loose rust. No water, no chemicals, no disassembly, no residue. What's left is clean, dry metal.

02
Neutralize Existing Rust

A rust inhibitor is applied to every area showing oxidation. It penetrates the rust that's there, stops it from spreading, and creates a stable surface the coating can bond to β€” instead of sealing live rust underneath.

03
Fresh Undercoating

A new layer of wax-based undercoating (Dinitrol) is applied across the underbody, with cavity wax inside boxed sections where salt hides. It stays flexible, self-heals from small chips, and blocks moisture and salt from reaching the steel.

Questions

Rust Protection FAQs

Will this fix the rust that's already there?

It stops it. Dry ice removes loose and surface rust, and the inhibitor chemically neutralizes what remains so it can't keep spreading under the coating. Rust that has already eaten through metal (perforation) needs repair first β€” we'll show you exactly where you stand after the clean.

Why clean with dry ice instead of pressure washing?

Pressure washing pushes water into the seams and boxed sections you're about to seal, and it doesn't remove grease or old failed undercoating. Dry ice lifts all of it and leaves the metal dry the moment we finish β€” so the inhibitor and coating bond to clean steel instead of sealing moisture in.

Do I really need undercoating in Texas?

More than you'd think. DFW roads get brine and de-icer in winter storms, spring brings humidity and standing water, and any vehicle from a salt state carries the problem with it. Trucks that tow to snow country make the case even stronger.

Dinitrol or WoolWax β€” which one should I choose?

Dinitrol is our standard: a penetrating ML rust remediation step followed by a 4941 wax coating that dries to a satin finish, protects inside the frame, and is a one-time application. WoolWax is lanolin-based β€” it stays wet and flexible, creeps into seams, and is easy to refresh yourself, which is why overland and off-road owners who take rock hits like it. Daily driver or work truck: Dinitrol. Rig that sees trails and gets re-treated every season or two: WoolWax. Either way the dry-ice clean comes first.

When does ceramic make sense?

For new vehicles you want protected without changing the factory look, and for finished restorations. The clear ceramic coating keeps the mirror-like finish, repels water, dirt and brake dust, and makes the underside easy to keep clean. It is a protective finish, not a rust-remediation product β€” so if the vehicle arrived with rust, we treat that first.

How long does it take?

Most trucks and SUVs are done in one day: dry-ice cleaning in the morning, inhibitor and coating in the afternoon. We're mobile across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex β€” we come to your garage, shop or storage facility.

My vehicle already has old undercoating that's cracking. Can you redo it?

Yes. Old rubberized or asphalt undercoating that's cracking traps moisture and hides rust. We strip it with dry ice, treat the metal underneath, and apply a fresh coating β€” no grinding, no chemicals, no damage to the steel.
